Progression vs. Farming

Post by Rose on Fri Jan 20, 2012 6:27 pm

For the most part, we have bosses 4/8 on farm. Some still need gear and set pieces.

We'll keep running 4/8 on farm until everyone in the regular raid group has their pieces. At that point, bosses 4/8 (or even 5) we can start taking guild members who want to learn the fights and need gear.

Tuesdays are the easier bosses. Thursdays are the progression bosses. On Thursdays, we will need top heals, dps and tanks in order to progress past gunship.

Since we are sort of reforming the raid group (Galf left and Elf has a new schedule) we will try over the next couple of weeks to readjust and get back to where we were on progression.
I know last night was frustrating and messy for everyone. But we'll get this going again soon, it's just going to take a bit of reorganizing. sunny

We will get em its just going to take a few nights that is all. Remember even with wiping it doesn't mean we can't have fun. Every raid group has to reorganize sometimes or has a bad raid night. Just like every group has an awesome raid night. Rose do you remember when we were wiping on neff 24/7 we didn't complain just laughed and had fun. So remember don't let the slump get you down find ways you can improve and remember to LAUGH through all the wipes. It's what makes the game fun. lol!

Just gonna throw this out there, Testing other members strategies WILL make an improvement. Gunship is uber easy. Spine is ALSO UBERRR easy. But a DK is a major plus for gunship, Doing gunship on Tuesday when the "normal" people are almost 100% accounted for is the best way to do it. But repeating the same failing strategy over and over is a bit of a moral killer. Just saying.

The problem was we were using the strategy that worked for us (Gunship) with our "regular" people. It's not the strategy that's the problem. The raid group combo we had (no DK, lower dps than we are used to) that was a bit of a moral killer. Wink

With Elf back and making sure Galfs replacement does equal dps, we will be back to progressing.

Actually I wasn't talking about me, there were others that made suggestions as well, The only boss the group I went with did different was warship, but then again they were all WAY ahead of us in progression, and outgeared me by at least 10ilvls, I can't tell what strats yall have tried without making suggestions, i've only run with yall twice now through parts of DS, cant forget that
