Ok. so - Moving to Tucson, AZ in about a week, opening a shop, and I FINALLY get a weekend off. Gonna take a road trip to Phoenix, find a REALLY classy bar, or just a bar of any sort, and sit on my ass and drink for 3 hrs straight.

After we get settled in, I will be back in action for whatever is up.

Sidebar - Windows 8 is the BIGGEST piece of shit Microsoft has ever invented. the RT version (the one on tablets) is good for its purpose, but the basic version for PCs is junk. Sad thing is, you ONLY get the basic version with a new system, and have to PURCHASE a little card to upgrade to pro. Not a DVD, CD, or even flash drive for install, it's just a number you put in to change to pro. Not enough new features on Pro to be worth it though.

That said, if you buy a new computer with 8, call microsoft immediately and get your free windows 7 downgrade (It doesnt even uninstall 8, it is literally just a program that removes the 8 features and returns 8 to 7 - proving that 8 is just 7 but shiny)

The only thing I like about 8 is the metro style task manager (which there is a download for 7 that changes your default one to the new one for free) and the NTFS updates that basically remove the need for defragmenting completely, considering the fact that 7 has an allocation index that is almost as good, and is upgradable through another FREE download to the 8 version.

Also - Razor software/hardware has a 60% failure rate on 8.
8 DOES NOT have a new version of DirectX (still DX11)
8 DOES NOT support legacy drivers or hardware.
8 DOES NOT have full support for virtualization software, and will crash VMWare and Virtual Box constantly.
8 DOES lock your BIOS on installation, and in order to do a self install of any OS, you have to bypass it through software or BIOS hacks, but older computers will not allow this change so most don't have to worry.

I hate...no, I LOATHE Windows 8 with every fiber of my being.

After adding almost a GB of extra programs, modifying the registries, and doing ALL of the updates. I have changed metro to a window instead of full screen, I have my start menu back, my mouse works, and just saying... but the steel series keyboard is badass... I'll post a video of it later on, still busy as hell... lol
