RAID RACE: THE DRAGON SOUL CHALLENGE

from the wow front page: a charity event where 2 guilds - vodka and method - held a raid race to see who could clear heroic dragon soul the quickest. they're doing another one soon: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/5403325/The_Dragon_Soul_Challenge-5_10_2012#blog. they have a link to the youtube video of the first one.

curiously enough, Athene is the one putting it together.

the 4 guild race was really good.. the winner was Star from Tiwan.. Blood Leaigon came in second from the US.. they did it in 16 fn mins lol.. the spots where they jumped off to kill themselfs to reset hero is a good strat to keep things moving. i also learned a new strat for heroic spin that i know will fit our neeeds when we tackle it its keeping all the Amals up and not spining DW. this alows you to keep the heal req down to a min and having the dps to two shot the plates . i would like to try it on norm this week really but Star guild pretty much bruted their way through the raid.. they took an aproch that the others did not. their dps was insane!!! and in the end thats what won the fight. that! and the time they saved on spine aloud them to take the lead from BL.. and the way they did madness we need to try also.. witch was having the raid split and start on two platforms....? im going to read more into it for sure to help our own advancment..and i want to hit 100k on Ultax one day that mage from Star was insane!!! a fire mage.. but he was getting all external cds from his raid party also.. from the unholy dk and the priests.. he did 28% of the whole fn dmg done on the wole raid LOLOLOL crazy.. Dream Paragon stacked Boomturkeys and the dps they put out was also insane.. but alas they came in third.. the last guild was a Russian guild that cheated on the rp before Hag>.< i wish the others i raid with were as into high lvl raiding as i am:) just watching a live stream of one of those guilds will tell you a story we couldnt get down in 100 pulls on a heroic boss:)

that's good fang. part of this was because i thought it was cool, and another part was to see if it would provide any "a-ha!" moments for our heroic raid team. enjoyable to see in either context.
